Okay, four and a half is closer to the mark. As we roll through the final quarter of the financial year, CashFlow Advantage is four and a half years old, busier than ever, and it looks like we’re about to break another set of internal sales records, too.
Four and a half years old? Internal sales records? What does all this have to do with you and your business?
Well, firstly this is my blog and as a ‘proud father’ of CashFlow Advantage, now and then I reserve the right to get a bit carried away and excited about the growth of my young business. And I also think that there’s a lot in this for other Australian businesses simply because, without meaning to hard-sell it, the success of CashFlow Advantage can only mean that we are doing something right. In fact not just ‘right’, but ‘different’, too. So just for a change I thought I might take a moment to discuss briefly what CashFlow Advantage is, why we are different, the advantages we offer and how we might be able to help you.
- Who owns CashFlow Advantage?
I do. Me. Jason Smith. I’m the founder, I’m the owner, and I work here – that’s right, I’m hands-on enough to show up at the office every day and continue running the show. So when you deal with us you can choose to deal directly with me if you like, or talk with me when you feel you need to, because I’m right here. We’re a world away from the faceless mega corporations with offshore ownership and layers of committees that move at the speed of an ancient glacier. I like prompt action, efficiency and quick answers, and both myself and my team are allergic to credit committees. So much so that we don’t even have one – we often refer to that old saying ‘a camel is a horse designed by a committee!’ We aren’t a huge business. We are young, energetic and very proud of our ability to punch above our weight, making the big banks look like lumbering dinosaurs in the process.
What’s different – and why choose CashFlow Advantage?
I opened this piece by mentioning that CashFlow Advantage is growing and thriving, having started out in a tough economy, yet having gone from strength to strength. Businesses tend to prosper when what they offer meets a need, and I believe that the way we operate appeals to all those clients out there who have ever come away frustrated after trying to find cash flow solutions via traditional institutions such as banks.
Where banks are sleepy, we are hungry. Deal with us and you’ll deal with people, rather than departments. Banks boast about how big they are, or how they’ve been established so long that Ned Kelly once robbed one of their branches – we’re not like that. All that history has slowed traditional lending institutions down, and built an air of ‘because that’s how we’ve always done it’ into their thinking
By comparison, we look outside the square for better solutions, all the while focusing on service delivered in hours or days rather than weeks or months. In Bank Land you wait forever and put your home on the line to gain access to the cash you need. With Debtor Finance through CashFlow Advantage, you see your cash in 24 hours, there are no hidden fees, no long term contracts, no property needed as collateral. At the end of the day, you’re not even taking out a loan, after all – you’re just accessing money that’s owed to you, sooner. All of our thinking is based around this ‘better, sooner’ objective. And while it’s hard to simply say that our service is better without sounding big-headed about it, the fact is our clients tell us that our service is better pretty much every day.
From where does CashFlow Advantage source its funding?
I suppose it’s inevitable. It’s time to mention the ‘B’ word again. At CashFlow Advantage we’re not very fond of banks and we make no secret of it. (Keep an eye out for my upcoming blog ‘Bank Land – deserting small business when times get tough.’) So while I can assure you that we’re not owned by a bank, we do have funding from a bank, so availability of funds will never be a problem.
What great giveaways is CashFlow Advantage offering to help get me onboard?
Frankly, that’s just not our style. While I won’t rule out CashFlow Advantage ever rolling something out now and then by way of special thanks in special circumstances, don’t ever expect the constant flow of ‘incentive giveaways’ you see from some businesses. This way of doing things always gets me thinking ‘I know who pays for this stuff!’ It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if the ‘free’ stuff is coming thick and fast, it’s being built into the costs paid by the client somewhere along the line.
What we can offer to new clients as well as those who refer new clients is great service and great rates, and hey, there may even be a nice ‘thank you’ lunch here and there in the right circumstances. We just have to use our discretion a little bit, or the way business is going at the moment, we’ll spend all our time at lunch!
And I think that just about wraps it up for now.
I hope that this blog has given you some insight into how CashFlow Advantage is different, and the advantages we can offer small businesses. I spend a lot of my blogs covering all manner of subject matter, and I get a pretty steady stream of calls and emails simply requesting more information on what we’re all about, so I thought I’d spend some time in today’s blog laying out some basic facts about who we are and how we work. I hope it’s helped you gain more of an idea of what CashFlow Advantage is all about, and of course if you want to ask some questions, by all means join in the conversation online, or just call me.
Wishing you all the best for your week in business.
